When my daughter was just 6 months old, she got her US Tourist Visa approved immediately; without any interview nor appointment needed!
I just followed these steps that I found in the US Embassy page and she got 10-year multiple entry visa approved! I'm sharing the steps with you.

If you're considering a journey to the United States with your children, I've compiled a step-by-step guide that could potentially make the US B1/B2 Tourist Visa process smoother for your kids aged 14 and below. They won't need an interview nor to secure a visa appointment, provided specific conditions are met.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Age: The interview waiver primarily targets two age groups:

    • Children under the age of 14.

    • Seniors aged 79 and above.

  2. For children under 14: Either or both parents must possess a valid B1/B2 visa, and the child must be in the Philippines during the application.

  3. For seniors 79 and above: The interview waiver application process, outlined in steps 1-5, is available here.

The Application Process:

Step 1: Begin by addressing the financial part - the visa application fee. Detailed information is available here.

Step 2: Dedicate some time to complete the DS-160 form. Post-completion, print and securely store your confirmation page.

Step 3: Assemble your documentation:

  • Children should have their original birth certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

  • A photocopy of the parent(s) valid B1/B2 U.S. visa is required.

After this, you'll receive a confirmation letter (if eligible for the interview exemption). Print it and collate all necessary documents, following the guidelines precisely.
Drop off the entire set at one of the designated 99 LBC branches.

Step 4: Proceed to submit your documents to an LBC branch closest to you. A list of branches can be found here.

Step 5: A little patience goes a long way. If all details align, your visa will be delivered to your mentioned address.

Important Points to Remember:

Utilizing the interview exemption process is a privilege, not a right. In certain circumstances, an interview might still be mandated. Therefore, we advise you to apply considerably ahead of your intended travel dates.

In conclusion, while visa applications can sometimes seem daunting, adhering to the guidelines and being meticulous with your documentation can make the process a breeze.

Here's wishing you smooth preparations for your upcoming U.S. adventure! Safe travels! 🌐✈️🇺🇸
